Why does VS seem to crash on my computer only....
whenever I try to set ASIO or try to disable it...why dont I hear any sound in stand-alone-mode....why does it crash when using it as a VST-instrument...

have you disabled Codec? That seemed to cause VSampler to crash when I had disabled codec.

Also, at Orion, Vsampler didn't work as VST. With Logic Audio (after enabling codec), VSampler worked ok.

Yes I disabled the Codec. It produces a high pitched sound (12kHz) and makes the quality of the EWS useless.
Well its good to know why VS doesnt work over here, thanks for the answer.

Only use wave record and never codec record!
Only with codec record you will have the hig pitched sound and you can't get rid of it afterwards not even with a very good noisekiller. The high pitch is still there on codec record nevertheless the new firmware! So use wave record and it's clean.
